Things that bother me:

• Referring to the Midwest as the Midwest. It's not the "Middle of the west". It's the Middle of the continent! The West is California, Oregon, and Washington. The Midwest is Colorado, Montana, maybe Idaho. The "Midwest" is more like the "Central US".
